Data collection and analysis

During the project, several data collections (mainly interviews) took place in the study zones.

The phase 1 farmer interviews are based on a general questionnaire, which includes general questions about the activity, the decision process about the measure adoption, and future possible policy. A first analysis of these results is given in the following reports. For a synthesis see : Summarised results of the phase 1 interviews.

We made a particular study of the results of the questionnaire about the information process by the farmers.  The considered questions focus on the information search of reception, as well as on main aspects which influenced the decision : Comparative results of the phase 1 interviews about the social influences and the decision process.

We also analysed these results in a multi-criteria decision framework. An important step was to determine the different weights associated with decision criteria. We called these weights "motivations", and we tried to evaluate these motivations from the phase 1 questionnaires. The method and results are reported in the following documents.

A part of the farmers interviewed in phase 1 were reinterviewed a second time with a new questionnaire. The results are analysed in details in the following documents . These results are synthesised in the final report (Interpretation of the data in a multi-criteria framework).

We studied the possible links between the evaluated motivations and socio-economic indicators of the farm. For a synthesis of this study, see : Investigation of statistical links between the motivations and social and economic  indicators.

We performed also a set of institutional interviews (questionnaire). The results of these interviews are reported in Results of phase 2 of the institutional actor interviews. A part of these interviews results will be used to build the institutional scenarios of measure implementation, as input to the model.

Some initial conclusion about the use of these data collection in a multi-agent model are given in : General discussion about the data collection results.
